In the wheelchair division, Tony Southern narrowly defeated Dave Beaumont 3–2. Nigel Coton claimed the Group 3 title, while Carl Gibson triumphed in the combined ambulant Group 4–5. Robert Cooper secured victory in Group 6A, and newcomer Reece Ali Matin-Mashi impressed with an unbeaten performance in Group 6B. Former world number one Gary Taylor took the Group 7–8 crown, marking a historic moment for inclusive snooker in England.
Gary Miller Clinches First English Seniors Tour Title
Gary Miller, aged 60, captured his maiden English Seniors Tour crown at the season’s opening event held at Frames Sports Bar in Coulsdon. Over two days, he triumphed in a field of 30 competitors, delivering five half-century breaks—including a high of 90—to advance past Tam Mustafa, Andy Battams, Wayne Martin, and Chris Cooke in the semi-finals. In a tense final versus Steve Crowley, Miller bounced back from a 1-2 deficit, and sealed the contest in a decisive seventh frame with a commanding 71-26 break. With this victory, he also jumps to the top of the 2025/26 rankings.
